The Cobra Surgical probe is malleable and can be easily adjusted by a surgeon to any desireable shape. This malleable probe can be used both for epicardial and endocardial applications. It has 5 to 7 individual electrodes/units with individual temperature control and RF energy delivery self adjusted in real time. The probe allows to deliver repoduceable linear lesions without dragging it resulting in a consistent transmural lesion without gaps.

Cobra bipolar clamps have disposable inserts that allow surgeons to customise lesion shape and assure optimal control of lesion penetration with the unique ability to adjust ablation time. The Cobra Revolution bipolar clamp is a new development by Estech and revolutionised the way the shape of the bipolar ablation instrument is adjusted to match the anatomy of the heart for any approach that may be used by a surgeon. It is easy to use, is fully disposable and has the unique Estech individual interconnected temperature controlled segments embedded in the waveform of the electrodes in the jaws.

Cobra Adhere Excel is a unique flexible epicardial probe that has 10 continuously connected electrodes with individual temperature controlled RF energy delivered in each segment with real time energy delivery adjustment. Cobra Adhere Excel has a suction system that assures optimal contact with the cardiac tissue during ablation. Internal cooling prevents development of heat sink effect while preventing coagulation at the surface. This probe can be used both for traditional and least invasive cardiac surgery. Thorascoscopic stand alone RF ablation with Cobra Adhere Excel is performed using one side ports on the right side of the chest on a beating heart. It usually takes an experienced operator less than one hour to perform full treatment of atrial fibrillation using this approach. Follow up data in the treated patients show results similar to other probes that are used with the Cobra system with more than 80% of the treated patients formerly with persistent atrial fibrillation being in sinus rhythm during long term follow up.
